topper hair: how to avoid the first comments?

Wearing ahair topper hair usually an easy step to take, and revealing to everyone that you are now wearing a hair prosthesis hair a requirement.

When you finally decide to take the plunge, you often feel very anxious about people noticing that you are wearing a topper wig. I've been there too, and I know that these fears are legitimate. But after more than five years of wearing toppers different toppers every day, depending on my mood, I can assure you that people aren't really paying that much attention to what's going on on our heads, and that's a good thing!

In fact, unless you have very noticeable hair loss, people generally don't notice a simple difference in density. However, when you wear a topper the first time, some observant people may notice that you have made changes to your hair. They may then ask you questions or make comments about your hair, which can be very stressful and unsettling when you are afraid that people will realize you are wearing ahair.

Anticipating and knowing how to respond to these initial comments will help you get through that first day without any difficulties. In this article, I will give you my tips on how to achieve this.

Tip #1: Wear your hair tied back during the transition period.

At first, if you are really stressed about people noticing yourhair topper hair wig, I recommend wearing topper tied topper . This will make the change more subtle, and people are less likely to notice the difference. If there is a slight difference in hair color, length, texture, or volume, it will always be less noticeable when you wear your hair tied back.

hair topper hair wearing here (Ana model) is 20 cm longer than my own hair, and it's much lighter in color. However, the result is completely undetectable with my hair tied back!

Tip #1: Be confident, stay calm, and accept compliments!

If you decide to wear your hair down, some people around you may notice a change. But keep in mind that people never think directly of ahair topper hair 99% of the population doesn't even know this type of product exists!). They just see a nice change in hairstyle. And so it's only natural for them to comment on this change, which they find very positive!

A common mistake women make when wearing a topper wig for the first time is to try to justify themselves. It's as if you've done something wrong and are suspected of hiding something serious!

In my opinion, making excuses is a mistake. Just take the compliment for what it is and say "thank you." 😉 If there are any questions, don't hesitate to confirm what the person is saying to avoid getting into long discussions that are stressful for you!

Examples of the most frequent comments:

  • Oh, that's a nice change, did you get highlights? Yes.
  • You cut your hair, you went to the hairdresser, that's great! Yes, do you like it?
  • Did you change your hair color? Yes, I went to the hairdresser this weekend!
  • Did you straighten your hair? Yes, I had a treatment at the hairdresser's.

I recommend not going into too much technical detail so that you don't find yourself in a conversation that you can't control. Stay vague and redirect questions back to the other person to divert attention away from your hair, if that's what you want, of course 😉

If someone touches the ends of your hair because this gorgeous mane is tempting to some (it happened to me on the first day!), let them. You have nothing to worry about with ahair topper .hair a tiara, they are all made from natural hair 😉

If you feel that the person is really suspicious, especially about the difference in density and volume (this can happen if you were really very sparse), don't hesitate to say that you have extensions. Remember, however, that you don't owe anyone an explanation, and you can also simply change the subject if it makes you too uncomfortable.

Tip #2: Keep in mind that you don't owe anyone anything and that you are free to talk about it or not.

Wearing a hair prosthesis hair be a private matter. You don't owe anyone an explanation about it. It's a bit like wearing dentures—you don't have to talk about it. People who wear dentures or breast prostheses don't owe their colleagues or friends any explanations, and the same goes for you. If it's something you want to keep to yourself, you need to be aware that it's your right and that you are under no obligation to explain your hairstyle or any other matter that is nobody's business but your own.

You therefore owe no explanation or justification to anyone who is overly intrusive in these matters. You have the right to leave them with their questions. They should move on to something else on their own after a while 😉

And after a few months or years of wearing thehair topper ?

At first, we worry a lot about the idea that those around us will find out that we use this type of product. However, you will see that after a few months or years, the subject may seem much less serious and you may spontaneously want to talk about it with your loved ones and coworkers. You will see that their reaction is not judgmental, but often very supportive. This may encourage you to discuss it naturally and confidently. It is also important to note that women who are comfortable with their hair loss and the solutions they use to address it are rarely mocked and, on the contrary, exude confidence.

We become unbeatable when we have confidence in ourselves!

And we can be proud of having dared to take the plunge in a society where these solutions are still quite taboo. Proud of not letting ourselves be discouraged, of moving forward and daring to take a step forward.

Finally, never forget that we are not responsible for what happens to us, that we have every right to seek a solution to our hair loss, and that we are just as valuable as other women.

We have the right to want to feel beautiful and to use the wonderful solutions available to us to achieve this!

So, be yourselves and take care!

We use natural Brazilian "Remy" hair. The term "Remy" means that the hair and cuticles of the strand are oriented in the same direction on the topper. This is in contrast to non-Remy hair, which is assembled in bulk. As a result, it is more prone to tangling and damage.

You should choose the basic size of the topper the extent of your alopecia and the hair density you wish to achieve. It is preferable that the clips are not attached in the area of alopecia, as the scalp may be quite sensitive. In addition, extensive alopecia will require a high hair density to compensate for the low initial density.

For extensive alopecia, we recommend bases measuring 18 × 18 cm or 20 × 20 cm. These bases will provide effective coverage, density, and comfort. Larger bases are available for very extensive alopecia.

Smaller bases (15×15 cm) will give your hair a little less density. But they will make it easier to tie your hair up in a high ponytail.

To determine your wig size, please refer to the chart below.
