Having suffered from androgenetic alopecia myself for 15 years, I fully understand the issues faced by women with this condition.     My alopecia has worsened following a Brazilian blowout, so I am considering switching to a hairpiece or topper , as topper thickening powder is no longer sufficient to conceal my bald scalp.
    Can you tell me which technique is the most undetectable: a clip-on hairpiece, which may however create tension on the hair, or topper which the topper hair topper with your own hair thanks to a net?

As Diadème does not have a store or commercial premises, it is solely an e-commerce site. However, you are not alone when making your purchase and can receive advice on color, base size, and length based on your photos by sending them via the support form. After ordering the topper, you can try it on at home and return it if it does not suit you, within the 14-day withdrawal period.

Social security does not reimburse hair prostheses made from natural hair that cost more than €700.

All out-of-stock models are restocked on a regular basis. However, it is not possible to give a precise restocking time for each model. We use natural Brazilian "Remy" hair. The term "Remy" means that the hair and cuticles of the strand are oriented in the same direction on the topper. This is in contrast to non-Remy hair, which is assembled in bulk. As a result, it is more prone to tangling and damage.

You should choose the basic size of the topper the extent of your alopecia and the hair density you wish to achieve. It is preferable that the clips are not attached in the area of alopecia, as the scalp may be quite sensitive. In addition, extensive alopecia will require a high hair density to compensate for the low initial density.

For extensive alopecia, we recommend bases measuring 18 × 18 cm or 20 × 20 cm. These bases will provide effective coverage, density, and comfort. Larger bases are available for very extensive alopecia.

Smaller bases (15×15 cm) will give your hair a little less density. But they will make it easier to tie your hair up in a high ponytail.

We offer toppers a density between 120 and 130%. This density is considered standard among international brands.

The hair is straight. Except when it is indicated in the product description and title that the model is naturally wavy or curly.

The lifespan of a topper in part on how well it is cared for. The typical lifespan is between one and two years. To extend the lifespan of your topper, do not wash it too frequently.

Natural hair can be heated, straightened, and curled without any problems. However, as with your own hair, you should not overdo it so as not to damage the hair fiber.

At Comme un diadème, custom orders for out-of-stock products are possible.
